Agenda:
The scope of this 3-Day session is to employ the technical aspects required to manage an extracorporeal life support system. This is accomplished through the use of various scenario-based simulations in which the learner will perform emergent and non-emergent procedural skills and utilize their knowledge and critical thinking skills to address clinical alterations in care of the patient on extracorporeal support.
Debriefing is an essential component of training and time for this process is allocated at the conclusion of each simulation. A debriefing session provides immediate learner feedback and is an opportunity for the sharing of information and positive reinforcement. The intent of this course is to promote patient safety by enriching knowledge, technical expertise, teamwork, and interpersonal communication required in today’s healthcare environment.
Attendance:
We have purposely limited registration in order to provide the greatest opportunity for hands-on training.
