This course will be held at the ExtraCorporeal Education Center (EC2) in Murfreesboro, TN, located just 30 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee.

This 1.5-day course is designed to provide the rehabilitation professional with comprehensive knowledge and practical clinical skills to safely manage the complex patient population supported on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The course will provide a didactic overview of foundational cardiac/pulmonary principles, common critical care support lines/devices, ECMO physiology(VA, VV, and hybrids ), and mobilization strategies specific to patients on ECMO. The learner will participate in high fidelity simulation experiences designed to reinforce didactic information and hands-on clinical skills.

Course participation is limited to a small number of learners to assure plenty of time for not only individual practice but also for maximal contact hours with the highly skilled and experienced ECMO and Physical Therapy Staff assisting with the training process.
